Kingdom Hearts . . . *sigh* 🗝❣️
Let me start by saying, this post is just my thoughts and feelings from the announcement trailer dropped today.
I can’t even explain the grip that this damn series has on my queer ass. Honestly the story is so insane, it doesn’t make sense and the third major installment of the game in my opinion was real bad. Yet this trailer STILL hypes me up
Even the new mobile game has me hyped up and I never even finished playing the original mobile game. We barely got any information about how the game works and still I want it.
The real treat was seeing some gameplay (even if it isn’t final) for the fourth major installment of the series. The thing that hyped me up the most of this preview was that I personally feel there will be way more story involved, even though we are all tired of 3 hour long cutscenes.
After finished the Kingdom Hearts 3 (and even stupidly paying for the DLC) I felt disappointment, even though I know I shouldn’t have expected a whole from the game to begin with. It just felt like it was almost rushed even though the world was beautiful, I just always felt it was missing so much, there wasn’t even much story to begin with, I felt like they answer no questions and just gave us more questions instead.
However with the new announcement trailers it feels like they are going to give us more story, and wouldn’t be surprised if it was very multiverse driven. I mean Sora was thrown into a video game world, that maybe wasn’t actually a video game but a lost world(?) It seems like we’re going to get a Final Fantasy type of original story and I am hoping they give us that since we were given nothing Final Fantasy related in the third game.
We will just have to wait and still, til then I’ll just be listening to Simple and Clean on repeat, trying to figure out why I am still invested in the series so much.
